Sincere condolences to Catherine, and to Jack’s sons David, Shane, and Frank, and the extended family on Jack’s passing. It was a blessing that all three boys were lucky enough to be back home in Oldcourt together with their dad at the end.

Frank’s life on the far side of the world in Vietnam makes the memory of Jack’s wall-sized world map in the living room even more poignant. In a way, Jack enjoyed travelling widely without ever needing to leave home—making many a virtual journey to far-off places, following family and imagination across the globe.

He will be fondly and forever remembered for his deep love of family, and for his lifelong interest in working with machines—something he pursued with a quiet, gentle, and reserved demeanour.
