Late, but twice as heartfelt, my most sincere sympathy to you Olivia an Nicola. We never met Nicola, but your dad would have had a very special place in my heart. A fine man, may he rest in peace.
Through gentleman, will miss the interesting conversation had while cutting your hair, rest in peace John.
This is terribly sad. John was such a lovely guy and unfailingly positive despite everything. He has a wonderful timbre to his voice that made any anecdote especially resonant.

Olivia and John were always at the heart of Stradbrook Gardens and I will remember them nestled in the sunshine enjoying life in the summer and their hospitality on Christmas mornings. They were wonderful neighbours to have.
John
Words fail me, you were one in a million. Rest easy
Great memories of a gentleman and a talented musician.
Our sincere condolences to Olivia and family.
Sincerest sympathy to the family and friends of John. I have many great memories of John's involvement in numerous recording sessions in Westland Studios down through the years. He was a true Gentleman. May he rest in peace.
A very talented musician and a.gentleman. It was a privilege to have worked with him. May he rest in peace.
Very sad to hear of John's passing. An old school pal, we spent the last two years of secondary school in "Tweedy" Harris's class in Synge Street CBS. Always a character, John and Tweedy got on well together and an understanding was developed for John's Monday morning attendance following a very busy weekend playing in the clubs. I'll miss him greatly at the meetings of the '58 Group.
Bronagh and I offer our deepest sympathy to Olivia, Nicola and Philip.
Dear Olivia, my deepest sympathies to you, Nicola and the family on the passing of the lovely John. "Gentleman" is a word I'm sure will be used about John many times in its truest sense. A gentle man, full of kindness and warmth and wonderful music. May he rest in peace.
Condolences to the Curran and Shanley families. May John rest in peace.Fergus & Aileen O'Donovan
Rest in peace dear John .
Ah John .. what a gent .. so sorry to hear of your passing … always enjoyed our chats and laughs over the many years that we met at gigs here and there 🌺🎶🎷
John Curran...what can I say...I met you while we shared a ward in St.Vincents hospital. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you before the music stopped. We had good times reminiscing about musicians we knew mutually. And as we agreed John...no point in hanging around if the quality of life has come upon us....John it was really a surprise when you told me about what that lump on your neck turned out to be...I do hope you had no pain in the end. I will always think of you when I buy the Irish Times...enjoy that Great Gig in the Sky
