John DAY

Just heard of this very sad news. John was one of the most kindest, most gentle people I have ever met. RIP

So very saddened to hear of the loss of John. We spent many evenings discussing many topics, sometimes even making sense. He gave me a love of Pink Floyd and Hawkwind among other things. Will be thoroughly missed as the one person who could properly use the word ‘man’ man.
A good friend. RIP man.

I was very sad to hear of John’s passing. I knew him from our school days in Portmarnock Community school where he convinced me to try to add his Karl Marx books to my usual Stephen King bed time reading . Truly saddened to hear about John's passing. He was bright, engaging, humble, interesting and warm. His enthusiasm for the subjects that interested him was infectious...... Toliken and Hawkwind being two that have stayed with me to this day. Cups of tea in old Portmarnock, in search of space. Rest in peace John.
