John Desmond (Des) Byrne

My deepest sympathies to Monica and Robert on Des’s passing . He was a great colleague in Hibernian , who always loved a discussion , on any topic , where his sense of humour was always to the fore .

Very sad Monica and Robert to hear of the passing of Des. Always enjoyed the chat and his wry sense of humour.

Am deeply saddened to learn of the sad news. Des and I were classmates in St Marys College all those years ago. A decent, humane guy who possessed a great sense of humour with a most joyful laugh. He guided me masterfully through my first ever insurance application. My sincere condolences to all his family and his many friends. Rest easy, Des, you were a true example to so many.
