We knew John well in the sixties in Dungannon. He was a lovely, gentle, fun loving young man. He played football with Paddy. So sorry to hear this sad news. He is well remembered in Dungannon.Condolences from his childhood friends there. RIP

It s with great saddness that i heard today the passing of John.
I grew up with John hia mother took us to school on our first day as my mother was ill'We left school and went to serve our apprenticeship together'But as time goes by we went our different ways.I will always remember him in my prayers.My deepest sympathy on your loss RIP

I'm very sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a gentleman, had a lovely sense of humour and was always so approachable. We had many laughs when I worked in Housing Maintenance. Thinking of John's family at this time and his many friends. May he rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. John was one of life's gentlemen. He leaves a great legacy behind in the form of the HUG Staff Charity group in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council which was founded as a result of John's initiative.
