ADVISED ME YESTERDAY. JOHN WAS LOVELY KIND AND CARING. I KNEW HE WAS SICK LILY BUT THE INFIRMATION WASNT WHAT I HAD HOPED FOR. HE HAD A GREAT WAY OF LOOKING
AT THING'S AND ALWAYS A WELCOME TO SEE YOU.
MAY GOD CONSOLE YOU WITH YOU GRAVE LOSS
REALLY SORRY LILY. MAY HE STAY CLOSE TO YOU BOTH DAY AND NIGHT AND HELP YOU.
HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
THE JOHNS OF THIS WORLD ARE FEW AND FAR BETWEEN. CHRISTY IS VERY UPSET AS HE ENJOYED HIM GREETING HIM WHEN HE PASSED THE SALON AND PEEPED IN TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH HIM.

So very sorry to hear that John has passed away. I have been a customer of his for over thirty years in Grafton Street and always looked forward to seeing him and catching up with the latest news. A true gentleman in every sense of the word, wonderfully kind and so funny. My sincerest sympathy to you Lily, even though I never met you I always felt like I knew you - he spoke about you so much with the greatest love and affection. And as for Louis, we really bonded over our dog tales.
May his gentle soul Rest In Eternal Peace.

I was so sad to read of John's passing. I was a customer of John's many times over the years- he was an absolute gentleman. He always remembered little details about your life to ask about in conversation, which always struck me as being remarkable, given the number of customers that he had. He always had a smile and real sense of warmth about him. My thoughts are with his family and friends at such a difficult time. Rest in Peace, John.

I was lucky enough to have been his customer for many years and enjoyed great conversation and many laughs with him as he expertly did his job with such skill and professionalism. Lilly ~ We were heartbroken to hear about John’s passing. My Mam (Peg) and John had a bond of friendship! My family & I will always remember his kindness - how he visited her every Sunday to do her hair. She sang his praises to the day she passed. That was John-thoughtful, caring, and full of love. He cherished those moments with her, and she cherished them just as much.

I had the pleasure of working with John 34 years ago, he always had such a relaxed gentle way and worked with ease in such a busy environment he made a very big impression on me in my early hairdressing career. A true gentleman.

I was lucky enough to be a member of that very special group of John's long time clients ,for more than 30 years I benefited from his unequalled talent and got to enjoy many relaxing hours in his therapy chair. We chatted about most things but the conversations always circled back his beloved wife Lily and of course his canine companions.
