Also, good times with him at the boys club annual weekly summer holidays in Lorna Murphy house in Sallins Co Kildare. Haven’t seen John in years but my memories of him are all good ones.

John introduced me to a life-long love of politics as a youngster-up Garret FitzGerald/Fine Gael!
We had great fun during the time I was chief sweeper-upper at the Cutaway. He treated his customers like royalty and they were so loyal in return.
We loved his visits along with all his pals over the years; they were a bright spot and a touchstone to home.
