I was fortunate to have know John as a student and later as a work colleague in New Ross Vocational College and he was a major influence on my career. John believed strongly in the merits of technical education and touched the lives of many due to his work as college principal. R.I.P.

Always an educator and a man of many interests, it was fitting that he oversaw the completion and opening of the new school, now Kennedy College in the early 80’s. May he rest in peace.

They became great friends of our family. John became "Teacher in Charge" in New Ross Vocational School because he was too young to be made Principal. They were a vibrant part of our community until John went on promotion to Wexford. Ni fheicimid a leitheid aris. May John rest in well earned peace.

When i think of principal john i can see all the T chests full of trophies for karting on the loft in the woodwork room. He was an amazing teacher who felt more like a father figure than a teacher.
