John was a brilliant musician and a renowned composer who wore his talents lightly. His kind and gentle manner endeared him to all who met him. Dear Karen, Ann and family, I was so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. He was such a lovely man. He tried to teach me violin many moons ago...I was a terrible pupil but he had the patience of a saint and was so kind and encouraging. I will always remember him with real fondness.
