Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John. I had the pleasure to meet him when we joined the 23rd platoon in Naas in 1978. John was a true gentleman. My deepest sympathies to John's wife Mary, daughters Stacy & Sorcha and all the Egan family. May his soul Rest in Peace.
