Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of John known to me as Johnny.
A wonderful friend and mentor since I joined Railway Union Hockey Club in the late 60’s. He was a big brother to me and many others. A great Club man, team captain, committee man and the main organiser of our annual trip to Llandudno North Wales for the Easter Hockey Festival. Great days, great fun and great memories.
A lovely gentle man.

To Ella and family, my sincere sympathy on John's passing. We first met in 1961 in an Aer Lingus basement office in O'Connell St. The future was always going to be upwards. Always the gentleman and fun to work with.

I was sad to hear of the passing of Johnny. I was a neighbour of Johnny on the Strand Road and also a teammate on the hockey field. We had so many good times together and the away trips to Llandudno were special

Dear Ella
I am so sorry to hear of Johns or uncle Johnny, as I had come to call him, passing. I have some very fond memories of visiting you all at your beautiful home when we were kids.
