Jackie was a pure gentleman and so kind, loving and loyal to all his friends and neighbours and was adored in return by all. Jackie was never as happy as when he was driving his bus, full of passengers. He was ideally suited to the job as he was so kind and great company on any journey. It didn't matter if his passengers were an under 12 football team or a gang of teenagers on a night out or a gang off to a whist drive! All were treated with the same courtesy and attention. Jackie was such a lovely man to chat with and have a laugh with. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Sleep well Jackie, you have truly earned your rest. May God rest his gentle soul and may Jackie rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to Sheila, all Jackie's relatives and friends. As many have said a true gentleman. Jackie was a fantastic neighbour to us, he welcomed us to Portmagee 21 years ago, shared local history and stories , gave us local contacts, watched over our home and watched over Amy when she worked in The Moorings for 2 summers. He welcomed our family during their annual trips to Portmagee and always came to see Granny when she visited.
We will miss him hugely.
