I have just joined mass for John online. It was lovely to join with you all in Dublin and hear more of the stories of his life and times. In August 2019 he made his way to Craughwell Church for the months mind mass for both my parents, Tom & Maureen Fahy, who died in the same week in the previous month. He joined us afterwards and told us all about Carmel and his children. John and my dad were first cousins.

So sorry for your loss, after watching the funeral I wish I had started coming over for tea sooner, so many stories I never discussed with him. Whatever else you can say I think any one of us would be delighted with his achievements during his life and I know from (reasonably) recently when we met him in Glasnevin he was still enjoying life. What a lovely man John Fahey, always a kind word and a beautiful voice. A super supporter of this 4 girls and their families traveling far and wide to visit grandchildren and enjoy in their lives. He will be missed. May he rest in peace.

So saddened to hear of John's passing. He was a valued member of the Glas Mira music group and sang with the Group at many Masses and Medjugorje prayer gatherings in Ireland and also travelled with the group to Scotland and England. Have fond memories of him singing in recent years outside the GPO in O'Connell Street in aid of the Zambia Appeal Group. So glad that he joined our virtual carol singing event on 17th December last. May John now rest in peace with your Mum, Carmel.
