JOHN (FRED) O'DONOVAN

My sincere sympathies on Fred’s passing. He was a lovely gentleman and an amazing decorator. He was ill when he wallpapered my bathroom last summer…. May have been one of his last assignments. Of course, it was a work of art when he finished. I have fond memories of many visits to my home over the past few years. May he RIP

To the family of Fred O’ Donovan R.I.P. ,we send our sincere condolences. Fred was a committed , professional member of the 4 Battalion. He was a good driver and his skill with Panhard APCs protected his colleagues at home and on duty in South Lebanon. Fred was always in good spirits and his smile and banter would always lift spirits. We were very saddened to hear of Fred’s passing. Our most heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. He was an unassuming and gentle character, who we were very fond of. It was a pleasure to have him in our home painting for us over the years, always a beautiful job, kicked off with a chat and a strong cup of tea with plenty sugar. He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace now Fred, thank you for all your kindness and hard work. It was lovely knowing you.
