I have great memories over the years when Gerry came with the family to visit us in Leitrim and we spent time together in Bray . Gerry was a gentleman and will be sadly missed . Gerry was a great friend from late sixties,early seventies and our paths crossed occasionally since then. Gerry was always positive with a great zest for life and remained so despite his illness.

I've known Gerry for many years since we both entered Maynooth College in 1969. He was a wonderful classmate and a loyal friend. Throughout the years he never failed to remember important occasions and attended our class reunions many of which were held in Tuam in latter years. Gerry possessed a zest for life and held a deep passion for sport and music. He loved to discuss national and international affairs. He was a proud Leitrim man and a devoted Bray man. Gerry's family held a special place in his heart and he always spoke lovingly of them. He will be missed by all who knew him. Sincerest sympathy to his wife Pauline, daughter Claire, son Brian, daughter-in-law Valentina, grandchildren Livia & Ruairi, sister Carmel, brother Myles, extended family and neighbours.
