John Gerard (Seanie) Byrne

Our sincere condolences to the Byrne family on the sad passing of Seanie. With Tommy they were dedicated supporters of our Lifeboat for many many years. We join with Roisin and Michael Anthony Lavelle in their appreciation of Seanie and will remember his friendship. May his kind and generous soul rest in peace.

We are so sad to hear of Seanie’s death. He was a regular visitor to Achill, staying with us every time he visited, at first with his father Tommy and brother Tucker in 1991. Later on he was joined by cousin Eamonn and other friends and relations. He was always a breath of fresh air (if you ignored the smoke!) and a great wit. He and Tucker have been huge supporters of the Achill RNLI Lifeboat, and he will be sadly missed by us all in Achill. Sincere condolence to Tucker and all his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
