I just heard about the passing of Mr Glennon from.my Uncle Paddy. Cousin Niall and I were born one day, actually hours, apart and memories of us playing together are still very vivid. Sincere condolences to Niall, Johnny and on the passing of your father Big John. My uncle Christy Hanlon worked with DNR for years, they both had a passion for the dogs. We owe John big debt of gratitude. It is well I remember Louise's wedding when John promised my father Pat that she would never want for anything as part of the Glennon family , how right he was.

I was passing through Dunmore today and I had point in the Dun Ri. When they heard I was from Blessington they gave me a wonderful rundown on Glennon history. One man says he has the floor from the old dance hall in his house. Apparently BIG John got his nick name very young in life due to his hearty larger than like personality. Watching him was very educational for me, no problem was too big for him to overcome, except for the latter years, unfortunately, come we but go we must.

Rest well John, everybody's wish would be to join you beyond the pearly gates.
