So sorry to hear of Johns passing. I had many lovely chats with him over the years when my parents-in-law Eddie and Jane Deasy were also in Glenaulin. An absolute gent. Always in good form. May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of John’s passing, we only knew John from when my friend Helen and myself would visit my mother in law who passed away the week before,always a smile on his face when greeting us, my husband and his brothers would bring him in a couple of beer’s, our deepest condolences to all of John’s family may They rest in peace 🕊️

I only knew John through my weekly visits to Glenaulin as part of Irish Therapy Dogs. My dog, Radar, would run up to John as he sat in his usual spot by the front door (in sunshine, hail, rain and snow) and we would always be greeted with a big friendly smile.

May John now Rest In Peace forever reunited with his parents.

I had the pleasure of knowing John when I formally worked in Glenaulin nursing home. John was a gentleman and always had a smile when you met him at the front door. From working in Glenaulin, John would be at the door every morning and would greet everyone with a smile. Many times we would sit and have a smoke and just have a laugh. He was a gentleman and one of the kindest souls around. Thinking of all the family at this hard time.
