It was with great sadness to learn of Mr Griffin's passing . Mr. Griffin was a gifted Tutor, role model and respected by all student nurses. He will always be remembered for his kindness, great sense of humour and generosity.

I will always remember with such fondness when John would come to stay with us in Celbridge (my dad Tony was a lifelong colleague) the bag of sweets that would accompany John was a sight to behold. An absolute gentleman and I’m so sorry for his families loss he will be dearly missed may he rest in peace.

I was very saddened to hear of Mr Griffin’s passing. He was such a gentleman and we all looked up to him as student nurses. I remember him singing “ the call and the answer” it always reminds me of him when I hear it. My sympathies to you all. May he rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle John. He was very loving, kind and I know he will be missed by many. I will always remember his smile and calming manner in times of crisis. We were so sad to hear of Johnny's passing.
I remember all his visits to Nannie and Grandad's house in Fr Matthew Tce down through the years. He was so good to keep in touch with all his cousins right up to his death. He was a great comfort to my mother Mary, she loved his visits and phone calls which she said made her day.
When she moved to the Cottage Hospital he always popped into see her when he was in Clonmel.
He was one of her last visitors, her speech wasn't great but she said his name clearly.
Johnny sent me a lovely note after my mother passed , he was so kind and compassionate he was one of life's gentlemen . May he rest in peace.
