John Hartnett

John delivered to us in our pharmacy in Cahir. He was always a gentleman and made a point to have a quick chat even though you knew he was under time pressure. Our condolences to family and friends.

To his many many friends and especially his work colleagues, my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. I had the great privilege of playing on the same team as this talented winger back in the mid 80s, with our beloved club Fairview Rangers. We had the most enjoyable and never to be forgotten, long weekend away, on one particular occasion to Blackpool with Roger & Co. back in the day when our club would go on their annual "end of season" trip away. He was an absolute character with a great sense of humour and always fantastic company. You will be truely missed by all John, but most definitely not forgotten. May your gentle soul rest in peace.

We have lovely memories of John growing up in Garryowen and during his time with Wanderers soccer club where his was a star player and won many trophies.

John was a treasured member of the Freightspeed drivers group in Limerick for many years and was an exemplary employee,who formed very strong bonds with his fellow drivers and many hospital and pharmacy and UD employees who enjoyed his banter and sense of humour on his delivery routes.
He will be missed by all.
Linda and family can be assured of our support and prayers at this difficult times due to the sudden nature of his passing.
John leaves all of his colleagues with great memories and for my part a man who always said yes whenever driving plans changed at sudden notice and who was so kind to me when times were challenging for me last year reaching out to give me his support. Thanks John.

What we would do if we won the lotto,going to Seattle a place John talked about going back to one day. He told me about his younger days when he used to ride motorbikes an interest we both shared. John phoned me from Dungarvan on what would be our last conversation and we were both laughing when he hung up the phone, something I will cherish. It was a privilege to work alongside John. I was so shocked & saddened to hear of John's passing.

Meeting him first thing in the morning always brightened the working day, & left you with something interesting to laugh or think about!
I am still laughing at his hilarious commentary about *Swiftie Mania* last Friday morning, on what proved to be our last meeting 😪
