Dear friend,
your name rang in my ears long before we met for the first time.
What a fateful encounter it was, that you met Herbie in Rome in 1960.
You have known Ute since the first day of her life.

Jörg, Martin, Ute and Herbie, Babette always talked about you. About the parties, about your hospitality, about your stories, about your education and ultimately about your humor.

When we met for the first time in 88, no words were needed, we are simply close to each other.
You are a proud Irishman and you have told me so much about Ireland, about the history and about the people, that's why Ireland is in my heart too.

Thank you for the many stories, thank you for traveling together in Ireland.
Thank you for helping many of our friends and always offering a bed to sleep in your house.
Thank you for your trust and your front door key.

Thank you for introducing your neighbors, friends, brother family... and Annie to us.
Thanks for every minute!

Ute will miss the phone calls every “fourth night”.
We will miss you very much. God bless you!

All I have left is a cup of tea, wonderful memories of 37 years of close friendship... and a glass of GIN & TONIC.
Goodbye HEALY, let the party go on…CHEERS

I have very happy memories of John when I worked with him in Abbottstown
His dinner parties were legendary.
Many happy memories of the suppers after the tennis tournaments when we were hosting them in the Sun Room.
I’m sorry I won’t be able to attend the funeral. I am on holiday in fuerteventura so will watch it from here.
Rest in peace. John.
Rest in peace John I have heard so much about you and your fun loving way's over the years from close friends of yours. They truly valued your friendship
May your gentle soul rest in peace
So sorry and sad to hear of the passing of John Healy. He was totally eccentric in his views and a shining light in the rigid laboratory scheme of the Vet Labs. He will always be remembered as a person who cared and asked the questions. Disruptive on occasions but cherished in all his time in Abbotstown and previous labs ar dheis dé go raibh a hanam.
Codladh sámh John.
Dear John
Rip

My dearest friend John. RIP. My trips to Dublin will never be the same without your hospitality and chats. Your love of music, opera and travels brought you to life. Great memories of our holidays together in Singapore, Bali, Tasmania and of course here in Perth and the South West of WA. A true gentleman who loved and lived a great life.
Happy memories of good times in Abbotstown with John - the summer evening tennis tournaments, his unfailing good humour, and his great generosity in giving lifts to everyone -especially the Friday evening rush to catch the Cork train.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh sé.
My dearest John, you were part of my life growing up and I use to love going to Merrion Square where your Dad would take me into the boiler house. Many memories of the parties you use to have and the laughter. You will always have a special place in my heart ❤️

Sad to hear of John’s death. Knew John from years ago. a great conversationalist, a great traveller and had many friends from many countries. I remember the wonderful parties in Merrion Square. No doubt John will be engaging the inmates of Heaven with his engaging stories. May he rest in peace.

Dearest John. You were one of a kind, a true friend. I hope heaven has a good supply of prawn cocktails, sherry trifle, Nooky Delight, menthol cigarettes and opera. I will miss our phone chats (when you actually answered the phone). Visits to Dublin will never be the same without you.
