John Henson

JC , as I knew him at Garbally was always impeccably turned out for school. He was so intelligent and witty and always game for a laugh. I am sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to all of his family, may he rest in peace.

So very Sad to hear of Johns passing. I was a school classmate and John was never anything but helpful to me when I fell behind in my work. My deep sympathies to his family and many friends.

Very sorry to hear of John's passing.

It cannot be understated how well respected John Henson was professionally.

His reputation was well known all over Ireland. A mention of his name to anyone who was into classic synths would result in one of 2 types of conversation; a positive report if they'd had a dealings with him, or if they hadn't (yet), they would describe an intention to bring something to him in the future, should they get in bother. His rare skill & knowledge was truly reassuring to those fortunate to own older electronic instruments, and his expertise will be genuinely missed. He brought a lot of joy to people's lives through this work.

I spoke to John many times over the years for a bit of guidance regarding synth repair, and he was always very decent and accommodating to vague or specific enquiries. I'm sure this was a regular thing for him in his line of work. A gentleman.

Was just talking to a tech yesterday about how great a job John did on restoring my vintage Moog and later randomly happened to drive past his house, so was shocked to hear today of his passing. Off to join all the synth gods in the sky whose creations he continuously resurrected.

I'm very sorry to hear of John's passing. John was very well know in the synthesiser repair community and was a valued colleague to me and many others. His skills as a tech were known throughout Ireland and beyond. He will be very much missed.

Having worked with John many years ago, and John was a pleasure to work with we had many a good day, I was saddened to hear of John's death. My condolences to John's wife and his daughter, we will miss him, a good guy taken too soon.
