Brain and family my condolences on your loss. I came across this quote from Oscar Wilde after my Dad passed away from a similar illness ( No COVID 19 back then) a few years. back.

Extending our sincere sympathies on the death of John. So sorry we can’t be with you at this time. Wonderful memories growing up with John in Kilgarvan & later when he settled in Dublin with Joan. We loved the trips to see you and when you came to visit us in Kilworth…great times. John was a kind and gentle man and was always there to quietly offer a helping hand when needed. Many an hour was spent enjoying a witty yarn or reminiscing of times gone by.

I was so sad to hear of the death of our lovely Uncle John. He was a kind, gentle and caring man and was loved so much by his adoring wife, Joan who will miss him terribly. I have many happy memories of John and regret that we cannot all be together to share them. May I express my Sincere Sympathies to you all at this very sad time. I will always remember John as the strong, handsome, quiet Kerry man who came back from America with Joan. What a devoted husband he always was until the very end and their love for each other always evident. Their family complete then with their 2 sons. John could always be counted on by all in the family he spent many a long day on the bog with Daddy. I will remember him always with great fondness.
