John was a wonderful colleague. He was so good humored with a fantastic wit. He was happy to share his knowledge and supported his fellow colleagues. He was such a proud husband, father and grandfather. May he rest in peace.

My heartfelt condoences to the Holingsworth Family. I had the pleasure of working with John in the Eastern Health Board. His good humour and flow of jokes kept the office lighthearted despite the challenges of the day. I met him briefly in Bewley's Hotel, Ballsbridge, as he was on his way with Dan to a match in Lansdowne, in 2013, and my son's wedding happened to be in the same hotel on the day. He was his usual gentlemanly and humerous self and remembered old times. I am sorry to hear of his passing. May he rest in peace.

I was lucky enough to work with many lovely people whilst I was in Organon but John was surely in the top list. A lot of people have mentioned his humour and his ability to make us laugh but above all I remember his kindness to me on many occasions, even though I was a Corkwoman!
