John J. Gleeson

John Joe and I were neighbours in Pallasgreen and classmates in Abbey CBS. We shared the same bus on a daily basis and have met up at several class reunions. He was one of the most unflappable individuals I have ever met. A thorough gentleman with a genuine interest in his fellow human beings. My sincere sympathies to his family.

I have such fond memories of John from my childhood – always smiling, always in good humour and always so kind. I remember him driving us to school in my early primary school years and he had us laughing all the way from Ballyhea to Charleville.
