We are first cousins. We both attended Turlough primary school. He was just finished when I started. Both of us were christened, received first holy communion and were confirmed in Newquay parish church. John Joe immigrated to USA. So we had little contact after that..

Sincere condolences to family of John j rip I often gave him a lift to Ennis when he was living in ennistymon. He told me about his sister. Who lifted in belharbour.he was a thorough gentleman also very witty too good to forget.he was a familiar figure around Ennis with his walker I actually saw before Xmas near the cathedral in Ennis and I realised he had slowed down.bed in heaven among the angels to u John rest in peace

Ye both spoke so fondly of him & spent endless hours visting with him in the nursing homes & hospital making sure he got the best of care. My deepest sympathy to Lorraine, Keith, Margaret, Peter, John Joe's children, grandchildren and extended family on his sad passing.
I got to know John Joe when he was in Mowlam nursing home with my Dad.
He was full of devilment and I always enjoyed having the banter and craic with him.
I also got to know his grandniece, Lorraine, and her husband Keith and was in awe of the care they provided for John Joe. They treated him with the utmost love and respect and were always in Mowlam tending to his every need - they continued with this selfless care up to the day he died.
John Joe I hope you are enjoying a ciggy in your heavenly home. May your lovely soul rest in eternal peace.
