John (Jack) Dunne

Saddened to hear of Jackie's passing . The words 'absolute gentleman' are overused, but in Jackie's case are inadequate. His dignity and can do attitude was inspirational, and admirable . Somebody who genuinely will be missed ....

So saddened to hear of Jack’s death and sympathies to his family. He was a gent, always cheerful and smiling. He was around our place a lot with machinery and would always let us girls have a go and explain how things worked. We’d leave the car in his yard and walk to Courtown -we weren't old enough to be on the main road. Light would be on in the kitchen when you returned. Got to know him well in recent years , always a great sounding board.

Sorry to Tess , Rita all the Dunne families his cousin Teresa to hear of Jack’s sudden passing . He was a great neighbour & never complained of his lack of mobility or ailment . His late brother Jimmy RIP & his Nephnew George was a wonderful help to him doing the days of the Machinary farming incl. his late sister Ollie & Tess with the cattle .
The children loved going in for the chat & they loved the smell of the open fire . May he rest in Peace Amen .
