To Ann and the extended Glenny family, I was very saddened to hear of John’s passing. I worked with John for a number of years in IIG/BOC Gases. He was an absolute gentleman, a joy to work with and a fountain of knowledge which he shared so willingly. May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Sincere apologies on behalf of Mary & myself for my delay in expressing our condolences to you all, but I know you will understand the reason why.
It was our privilege over the last 45 years to know Jack as a good friend and neighbour, and we were very taken aback, shocked & so saddened when John phoned to tell us he had so unexpectedly died.
He was a real gentleman, kind and knowledgeable, and it was always my pleasure to have a good chat with him about everything & anything when passing our house on his way in or out of the estate on one of his many, many walks over the years - I will miss him greatly, may he rest in peace!

Deepest condolences to Pauline and the Glenny family. Jack was such a great man. I will always remember him sitting in your garden with his glass of wine.

It is with genuine regret that I learned of the passing of Jack Glenny. Our paths only crossed for a brief time period when John and myself enjoyed living under the one roof with Mr. and Mrs, O'Neill, Railpark, Maynooth during John's first and therefore informative year in St. Patrick's College, Maynooth. I always found Mr. Glenny a very nice sensible man with a lovely way of pointing out the obvious to you without making you feel absolutely stupid for not being able to see it for yourself. In all the years since, I never met a BOC truck without thinking of him.
