I have know John since 1991. It has been a great honour to know the man both personally and professionally. He served An Garda Siochana and other large companies and agencies faithfully as a contractor over at least 40 years sometimes in very severe and dangerous conditions but he never complained no matter how may times we asked him to reclimb the mast he would shake the head and then turn and climb again.

I cannot say enough about his character and ability and his wider family who I might on the odd occasions when they accompanied him at work or while socialising.

To all those that are left behind there will be a void but you can rest easy those in heaven now have a new personality amongst them it will be a better place for it.

John you were an inspiration to all.

I have known John for over 40 years and worked with him on many occasions in that time. You could only admire his positive and fearless can do approach to his work. There was no challenge too big and no problem that did not have a solution.
The break for the cuppa and chat were always an important part of the days work. His infectious good humour and energy had such a positive impact on everyone around him. He will be missed but never forgotten.
