Just heard of Johnny’s passing, one of life’s gentlemen,we knew him as Kiddo in the ESB.A smashing colleague and a great horse racing lover.May he rest in peace.
Really sorry to learn today that John has passed away. He was one of the kindest and most thoughtful people you could come across and nothing was too much for him to help out with. I met him racing at the Curragh many years ago with my father, with whom he formed a particularly strong friendship, and some years after that John worked for our pharmaceutical company delivering medicines to hospitals and was so well liked for the care and personal interaction he brought to the people he met in his role. He used to love having lunch is St Luke’s Rathgar who I believe always treated him like staff.
To all of his family , I am so sorry for your loss. He was one of a kind!

So very sorry to hear of the passing of John. Such a lovely and kind man. I remember fondly many Saturday evenings where he would call to my parents Brendan & Eileen each week for years. He would always bring lots of racing papers to my dad as they shared a love of the horses.
Deepest sympathies,
Anne Boland
