on behalf of the Templeogue Horticultural Society l wish to send our sympathies to Chris and her family. Jackie was a long time committee member in our club. He gave us wonderful demonstrations on his amazing hanging baskets. He did up challenging quizs for us on our garden outings and awarded the winner with one of his lovely baskets. He was also very generous with his gardening knowledge. Jackie was well known in the gardening world and was a very successful exhibitor at the many flowers shows around Dublin. He was truly a man in a million he will be so missed by all of us but he will never forgotten. May he find peace now with his beloved son John Jr.

Dear Chris and family thank you so much for letting us say goodbye to our friend Jackie. We enjoyed meeting Jackies family and putting names to the people Jackie talked about and dearly loved. Again thank you all.

Jackie was a dear friend and supporter of Clontarf Garden Society. His talks on hanging baskets were always well informed and entertaining and his enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge shone through. He was a cheerful face at the society's annual shows and talks and he will be greatly missed by us all. May he rest in peace.
