John (Jay) Fox (Carney)

John Fox, Jay Fox or The Jay as he was affectionately known, was a farmer, a builder, a plant hire contractor, a tour operator, a writer and a sage. He was a man who fearlessly ploughed his own furrow all through his life.
Like the prophet Jeremiiah, Jay was burdened with a great intelligence and he never sat celebrating among merrymakers but remained alone filled with indignation.
Our hearts are broken at your passing. You were such a huge part of my life and my family’s life. Your kindness, generosity, steadfastness and wisdom we will treasure forever. You were a one off and irreplaceable.
You leave a void in our lives that cannot be filled.
We must cling to the memories of a staunch and loyal friend and sage.
We love you Jay and we will never forget you.
Rest in peace dear friend. May the angels guide you to the highest heaven.
