Deepest condolences to Enda and all the Carrigan family on the passing of your mum. May she R.I.P.

My condolences to John Joseph’s family, I have had the privilege to have known John and the love of Hunting and salmon fishing, I rise my glass to you my brother in sport travel well my you rest in peace my friend.

I have just now learned of John s passing . I was very good friends with him and spoke to him on the phone about two weeks ago. He was a joy to meet in his shop, a pure country gentleman, he will be dearly missed on my visits to Kilkenny, It is with great sadness I sincerely offer my sympathies to his wife and family Rest in peace John.

It was with great sadness that Mary and I learned of the death of JJ We have very fond memories of jj and the sports shop JJ was a great and kind gentleman who we got to know in our early days when we rented a flat in 21 William street from him back in 1968 He was such a gentleman and the very best ambassador for what kilkenny was all about I had many dealings with jj and found him a pleasure to do business with May we offer our sincere condolences to all the Carrigan family at this very sad time. Psalm 34;18 Book Job 14;14,15 May all find comfort in the many happy memories shared and the support of family and friends.

So sorry to hear of JJ's passing .I will miss the frequent conservations we had as he cycled his fold up bike from the car park to the sports shop. JJ was a positivity icon, he lived in times when wild life was abundanct but he also witnessed its decline and never lost hope that it would one day recover.
What a man , a huge huge loss to Kilkenny.

I'm very sorry to hear of John's passing. The sports shop was a great Kilkenny institution. Not just for fishing and shooting but also for children when the shelves filled with toys in the weeks before Christmas. There was nowhere like it. RIP John

Sad to hear of the death of John Carrigan whom we have know for many years though shooting and fishing activities.

Sincere condolences to Johns dear wife Eve and his son Colin whom we all know very well , also to all his other sons and their children.

He will be sadly missed as the "Sports Shop" in High Street in Kilkenny was such a well known
institution for Fishing and shooting enthusiasts over many many years.
