My sincere condolences to all the Fagan family on the passing of John. May John rest in internal peace. I had the pleasure of meeting and looking after John in the the Meath, he was a true gentleman with a great sense of humour. I will miss our Cúpla focal as gaeilge. When I would pass by the room to check on john or to say goodnight I would put on ‘aon focail eile” on the iPad and we would have a singalong and dance. My colleges would always be asking us both what is this song! John would just laugh and continue singing! We’ll look after your beloved Judith. Sending your family love and prayers. Ive so.many fond memories of staying in Clanbrassil st. Listening to him joking and singing to Jude if he got into trouble for opening the box of roses from the bottom to take a couple of chocolates.
He often joined me and Sam in the kitchen for the banter before we'd head out and he and Jude would babysit Alex.
A brilliant character and wonderful man xxx
