John, I see you everywhere I go and talk you through every day I've had since the day we lost you and had to say goodbye. I realise how much influence, impact and input you had in my life and cherish what you thought me x We all love and miss you so much and the only comfort I can take from all of this is knowing I don't have to see you suffer any more but it doesn't help the realisation of never being able to see you again x Jordan and Olivia were the luckiest Nephew and Neice to have you as their Uncle and they remember every inch of who you were x Be sure you will never be forgotten and you are spoken and thought about every day x We love you and miss you even more x I wish things could be different but I promise to continue to make you as proud of us as we are of you xxxx
Nothing was small when it came to John including his jewelry, jeasus it would sink a ship! But I refer mostly to his generosity. He'd quite simply give you his last penny without hesitation. With Stubbornness not running through our family but galloping,  it was always thought or said, he'll do it if Nicola asks him... however, when his beloved nephew and neice came into his life, they replaced me on that pedestal very quickly.Jordan and Olivia were simply the apple of his eye... he would light up so much when they were around him. They had to do nothing to win him over, if ever you thought you could see someone was wrapped it was John with the kids.He ran round after them so much he wore through the floorboards. He didn't lick that off a stone though...our parents have spent every minute of our existence caring for our every need. There's so much to say, I'd be here all day,  so I'll start to wrap it up.His love for sport- Liverpool and Celtic being at the top of his list. With the Tipp blood prevalent in his blood,it was inevitable that he was a tenacious hurler. When he was on the pitch, I can only explain it as like watching a caged animal released to defend his pack! I'm prity sure it was because of the combo of John Jordan and Keith Wilson that helmets became compulsory!! Albeit they refused to wear them! On that note,I will end on a patriotic honour that he had for Ireland - Tiocfaidh ár lá nuair a bhuailfimid arís deartháir Our day will come where we will meet again brother X
Many thanks to all and everyone who rallied around us over the past week or so and all who stepped up and played their part... I won't list everyone otherwise I will run out of time before I even start..
Please know it is deeply appreciatedJohn - our eldest sibling, and 2nd eldest out of 30 cousins and that's just one side of the Family. He was the person we knew undoubtedly had our back!Loyalty ran thick in his blood, so much so, he not only had our back, he had our front, our left and our right including a 10ft peripheral around us. God forbid anyone who crossed the paths of his family (that included his friends,  once you were in, you were safe)... it was like a superpower.. he could smell it a mile away and it didn't matter if we were in the right or wrong, just don't cross his family.John grew to be a tower of a man, just like our grandfather (to which he was regularly compared to, and very proud of that)His nick name "Big John" was self explanitory - he reached  6ft 3,was as broad as a door and as brazen as a Lion. His shoulders were permanently stood to attention, as if ready to be called to war.You couldn't miss him in a room, he hadn't the quietest of voice's either never mind being an unmissable size.He was a tower of strength (literally)But he was one of the lucky ones who had not only the Brawn he had the brains aswell so there was no getting past him. With all that said, he was a gentle Giant and a big softy at heart...
22/05/2025 Happy 50th birthday bro. Still can't believe this is real. Thinking of and missing you every day. I really hope we meet again someday.

My Deepest Sympathies to Uncle Fran, Aunt Mary and my cousins Mark, Philip and Nicola on their huge loss. My heart is absolutely broken. John was such a support to me after I lost Mick and we would often talk into the early hours. He always had a few stories to make me laugh and forget my troubles for a while. And again even during his own illness was such a support when I also got my diagnosis. He was the big brother I always wanted and would have done anything for me. I will never forget him he will be in my heart forever. Love you John and I will miss your stories and our chats. I will fight for the both of us now. May you rest in peace xxx

John, I remember the first time I saw you 22/05/1975, a beautiful dark haired baby boy lying beside his mother in the Coombe hospital here in Dublin. In that moment you were ingrained into my brain and into my heart, whatever time I have left to walk this earth there you shall remain until we meet again. I loved you dearly and will wholeheartedly miss you.

To Uncle Frank and Aunt Mary. To Mark, Philip and Nicola; our deepest and sincerest sympathy to you all on our cousin John's passing. I know we have somewhat lost touch as the years passed but we have so many fond memories of John from our shared childhoods when out in Ayrfield, here in Tallaght or in Clontarf. Christmas was always a happy time when we all met up.

I'll always remember John leaping from the pews in our church to carry our Dad, his Uncle Kevin's coffin. He didn't need asking twice.

RIP John.
