Sincere condolences to Tony and Pat on John's sudden passing. My one abiding memory of John as a young boy, is on a beautiful evening passing my house carrying a duvet and a pillow. Curious to know what he was doing I asked him where he was going. He then proceeded to add to my vocabulary by telling me that he was going to a Slumber Party. I had never heard of such a thing as it was the latest craze amongst young people. He said he was going to a friends house and was going to stay overnight. His excitement knew no bounds as he went joyfully on his merry way.
