To the best boss a girl could ask for. JK we sat side by side for nearly nine years and I only have the fondest of memories of you. From that first day when we looked each other up and down in HOB and secretly decided if we would get on with each other! Luckily for us, we got on great.
You were always so understanding, kind, generous, intelligent and thoughtful. You were always more than just a boss because you cared so much. We had many many laughs (and some tears) over the years.

My deepest condolences to Padraig and John’s family.

I was lucky enough to work with John for many years in eircom and was luckier still to count him as a friend for all the years after that. I will look back with great joy on our all too infrequent catch ups in Yamamori or when we hit Burger King at the airport as I was traveling through. No matter how long it had been since we last met we would pick up as if we had just met the day before.

John cared deeply about his friends, family and colleagues and we will all have our own stories of how he helped us in one way or another, without ever looking for anything in return. He unfailingly sent me a message to wish me and the family well for every major Jewish holiday and this perfectly sums up the kind of person he was, always thinking of others and doing good things.

I hope that you are able to find comfort in the messages people have left and knowing how much he genuinely meant to so many people.
