“ Some people come into our lives and quickly go,
Some people move our souls to dance,
Some People make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon,
They stay in our lives for a while,
leave footprints on our hearts,
and we are never, ever the same again. “
One almost never saw Miriam without her beloved John, by her side, total peas in a pod. Then, their treasured daughters, Ruth & Rebecca. Dear Miriam,
We were shocked to belatedly learn of John's sudden passing. Our deepest sympathies to you and to Ruth and Rebecca and to your extended family. It is hard to imagine Dalkey without the life force that was John. We were great fans of the artist, but also of the man. His legacy is secure, not just in an incredible body of work, but in the family you both raised. He was so proud of your girls. Our own fond recollections are of our encounters during power walks during the pandemic when we would greet each other with a laugh and a socially-distanced shout across the street.

John was a one-off, and we shall not see his like again. I like to imagine that his pencils are sharpened for some glorious celestial work.

We send you our love in this difficult time.
Dear Miriam, I am so sorry to read of John's death. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your girls. Much love, Elaine.
