John was a very bubbly man . Very sincere and a great character.
I remember him so well all those years ago back in the early 80s when him Pat and occasionally there day would come down to Gort with meal from Kavanaghs ( Manor Mills) for our hens in Gort .
John was the most frequent one to come ( sometimes 2 times in the week) and back then there was no motorway. But he loved driving his lovely blue Hino ZM . With its big engine 336 Vzw I think . With Ewdard kavanagh on headboard and loads of marker lights . We used meet again occasionally years after (2002>> 2020) at truck shows . And often had a good chat over a few beers.
