Only heard today, Easter Sunday, of John's passing - we are out of the country at the moment.
John was a gentle man in every way - warm, funny, learned, passionate about and with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the world of music. With all that, he was one of the Church's uncanonised saints.
We could go on. Just to say, for now, how much we are saddened by the news of John's death. And our thoughts and prayers are for our lovely friend, Vera, as well as for Mary and Sean, of whom he was so proud.
Deepest sympathy to Vera, Sean & Mary & Family. John played a big part in my childhood, larger than life, full of fun & always had a hug for me. Happy memories of a lovely man.
We have many fond memories of John and his party pieces like Young Albert and My Bony Lies Over The Ocean..
He will be sadly missed but he can entertain the angels now.
May he Rest In Peace.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Vera, Mary and Sean.
God Bless.
Colm and Kay and family.
Uncle John was a marvelous man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. May he be enjoying his just reward in heaven with his parents, brothers and sisters. Sincere sympathy to Vera, Sean and Mary and their families.
On behalf of Organising Committee, we extend our sympathies on John's passing. He attended many outings with us over the years with Vera as part of St. Michael's Club. RIP
