Having been in finance for a while, I’ve been fortunate enough to meet some truly outstanding people.
Needless to say Kino was one of them.
Always had a tale, always engaging, forever amusing, clever, helpful. I could wax lyrically on about his virtues, there are too many.
Quite simply he was bloody good company and you couldn’t meet a nicer fella.
He was a bit special and has left the world a sadder and much worse place.

Sincere sympathies to all of John's family and friends. John was a client of mine over the past year, but in reality he felt like a colleague and a friend as well as a client. He was great to deal with, very smart and honest, and very fair. He was also great fun and great to have a chat with.He will be sadly missed by everyone at Mercer who knew and respected John. Deirdre we never had the pleasure of meeting John but your "Aunty Ber" always spoke lovingly about both of you. We will continue to keep all of you in our thoughts during this very sad time for all of John's family and friends. We will think of John, especially next Saturday morning near Punchestown, when we walk from 'Darkness to Light' for Pieta House.

John was a close friend and colleague of my brother. The first time I met John was in Crumlin hospital when he visited my daughter with a bag full of gifts. Through my brother and his friends I felt I knew John, his funny stories were often retold, his kind gestures often recalled, his popularity was always noted. When my brother called to the home house my parents would often ask ‘How’s John?’....not that they knew him, but because of the high esteem he was always held in. When my brother rang me to tell the sad news one sentence stuck in my mind....’John was such a good guy’. Your passing has left a huge void in the lives of all those who knew you. May your soul rest in peace.

John made such a massive impact on all of our lives and memories of our special times together will be treasured forever. Dee, Jack, Chloe, Gretta, Amanda, Joanne....there are no words to express how sorry I am about John's passing. So, I won't try to find any but I will say that it was an honour to have him as such a lovely friend during the early years of navigating being a teenager/ adult. He was always so much fun, kind and super sweet person. As a St. Mary's/ Loreto gang we had so many adventures and fun and I'm always so grateful for John and the lads setting the bar so high on the gentleman stakes, peppered with mischief of course! I would also like to extend our condolences to John's extended family and all his friends. John had very many friends in Mary's who will greatly miss him and will always remember him. The Kinahan family have a long association with the club which John continued as a wonderful coach to the minis. In particular, the minis convey their sympathies.
