John Kinahan is remembered still as one of our most renowned Gaelic footballers for Club and County at all levels.
Our condolences to all his relatives and friends,particularly his brother Louie who played with John on Clara’s first County Championship-winning team in 1960.
John was also one of four from Clara that were members of the Offaly minor football team of 1947 that won the Faithful County’s first -ever Leinster championship in any grade,and John went on play County Senior Football for Offaly through the 1950s.
These feats are part of his life to be celebrated in Mount Jerome and of which we are justly proud in his home place.
