Dear Anne and Mike, just wish to let you know that you, your Mum, your daughters and brothers and all family of your beloved Dad are being kept in our thoughts at this sad, difficult time. Anne you have so much to be proud of and you all displayed great dignity and love at the time of John's passing. May your strength and your wonderful, treasured memories help you on the dark days.

Your father Anne was always so welcoming and kind to us . He was so proud of you and Mike and the girls . Sad for ye all but ye minded him so well till the end .

My condolences to all of the Lambe family. John was a character and had an unnerving knack for arriving just in time for a cup of tea when The kettle boiled . He as a constant source of devilment and I have many fond memories, as a young fella, of being sent to Liam Fenix for "a jar of Maya" and other such important items. I know that my dad will remember him with good memories too from his time when they worked together. RIP

I have fond memories of John when he called to visit his cousin, my Mum Judy, in Listowel and also meeting him at Listowel races. He always had a smile and story to tell, and usually a funny one. May he rest in peace.

My memories of John go back to our early teen years, when we rode our bikes to the river Main and Brown Flesk fishing. It was a delight to meet John when I came back to Tralee for short visits.

Sorry to hear of cousin John’s passing,he attended school in Presentation College Bray played rugby there and subsequently with Tralee R.F.C. He went to New York around 1960 trained in tv repair under The Philips Corporation came home and started work in that area television black & white had just arrived in Ireland.He was well read generally in all areas including sports but his passion was horse racing he went to all the Kerry tracks also to Mallow & Limerick. He was a regular caller to my elderly folks in Boherbee my mother being his aunt.He was great a recounting funny true events that he encountered. Due to circumstances beyond my control regretfully I cannot attend his funeral. My condolences to Joan Brian Anne Fergal and also to Diarmuid & Carmel with whom I grew up.

Joan & John were lifelong friends of our late parents and we used to love when they would come to visit on a Friday night and loved meeting John regularly at race meetings especially Listowel. Brian Anne Fergal due to circumstances beyond my control I will not make John’s funeral tomorrow and Saturday. I have very fond memories of Aunty Kitty John Des Anthony Diarmuid and Carmel where I spent many happy enjoyable and funny times in the White Lambe house we lived only 100 yard away. John went to secondary school in Presentation Brothers Bray hence his love of rugby played for Tralee RFC subsequently. He went to New York in the early sixties and trained as a technician under The Philips Corporation, came home around 1963 spent many years repairing tvs black and white initially, he never drank or smoked but could he drink tea and eat biscuits, wherever he repaired a tv that would happen even if that was 5/6 times a day. He was well versed in current affairs and sport in general but his real passion was horse racing he would attend all the Kerry meetings and some Mallow and Limerick ones also. He was a regular caller to my parents in their older years. I last met him at Des’s funeral last December when he was in very good form. He was a great man to tell a story and usually very funny ones generally true, He will be missed by his family, friends relations and by Diarmuid and Carmel.
