John Larkin

Sincere sympathies to the Larkin family on the death of John. We grew up together in Coill Dubh, between 1958 and 1970. I always remember John as a nice guy and easy to be around. News of his death brought back fond memories of days of our childhood, when the world was a lot simpler and our main activities revolved around meet-ups, swopping comics, playing on the large green, learning to cycle using someone else's bike (with our leg under the crossbar as we were too short to reach over). From what is being said about John, his was clearly a life well lived. May he rest in peace.

I am saddened to learn of John’s untimely death. He was a kind host on my visits to the St Mochua History Society. I will always picture him sitting inside the door in Ger Kelly’s - another gone too soon - with his stack of St Mochua Journals and a welcome for all. May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Also heard great stories about how he used to help
