John Lawlor

I worked with John for 10 years in Scoil Mhuire. As sound a man as I have ever met. He was good craic. He was conscientious and honest. He cared about his work because he cared about his colleagues and the children in the school.He thought the world of Joan and ‘my lads’. He was so proud to be a grandad. He was also a gifted tradesman. I sincerely believe he has gone to a rich reward. Because he was such a great Spirit, he will be sorely missed.God rest his lovely soul. I will keep all his family in my prayers.

A real gentlemen is laid to rest. John was the best colleague in Scoil Mhuire, always checking in with us, he could never do enough, no job was too big or too small. His character and good humour was enjoyed so much. He was no ordinary caretaker. Ironically a man that moved a lot of furniture was actually a part of the Scoil Mhuire furniture. My thoughts are with all the family at this sad time.

Such very sad news to hear of Johns passing . I have lovely memories of my Scoil Mhuire staff years with him , we always had great banter and chat. He was a gifted worker and a gent.
