John Long

Deepest condolences to the Long family. John was a true gentleman and entertainer. RIP

I first remember seeing John and his band 'The Unforgiven' back in 1967/68 in St.Bernadettes youth club and then later met him and Theresa through a mutual friend Pat Reinhart. A few years later I joined the Summerhill Variety Group and John was the producer. We went on to perform many shows together with his brother-in-law Mick Dempsey and I always enjoyed his company and his professionalism, he was a great singer and respected all the group equally. I was sorry to hear of his passing from Mick and wish to pass my deepest sympathy to all his family as he's reunited with his old pal Theresa, may they both rest in peace.
