Only just found out that John had passed as I was away at the time. My deepest condolences to Johns family. He was an absolute gentleman to deal with, always had a little story to tell and never in a hurry to get away.
Rest in Peace John.

Just found out today that John had died .I was shocked and saddened to hear this .He called to the shop for many years when he was the “rep” for Williams .I enjoyed the chats ,nothing was ever a problem for John and of course always immaculately dressed and one of life’s gentlemen It really is the end of an era.

Saddened to hear of Mr Lowth’s passing, may you find solace in the memories he left and the high esteem in which he is held. He had a genuine welcome and interest in everyone he met and his smiling, larger than life, and kind presence has left it’s mark in Raheny and beyond. He is remembered fondly.

Met John through his work in the church and parish. Always a friendly face and a chat for all at the church. A fabulous addition and support to the many priests who passed through down the years. My late dad had fond memories of him where he was a Eucharistic minister there also. John was many things to many people. Condolences to his family and many friends.

Since we moved to this community more than 30 years ago, John has been a constant presence in and around the church, giving so much of himself to the parish: his time, energy, commitment.
