It behoves me greatly to pay tribute to John, among
first of many new and welcoming friends when moving
with trepidation to the Leinster Leader in 1959, first
while in digs. in Maguires Shop and Bar in Sallins and yet still
more as he and Mary went into business close to my Main
St. 'stall.'
Have come in life to meet few people I could more greatly reckon
as absolute friend, trustworthy, genuinely helpful, down to earth
and warm-hearted.
To all of you who mourn John: be assured of prayerful remembrance.
