Sincere sympathy to Kathleen, Linda and the extended Lyons family on John's passing. John was a gentleman. He was full of good humour and always good company. I have nice memories of John in Douglas Golf Club and he was very helpful during the many years he served as sacristan in St Patrick's Church in Rochestown. John never took himself too seriously and we was always game for a bit of banter. Rest in peace John.

Sincere condolences to you Kathleen and family on the loss of your dearest John. RIP.
Our paths first crossed in AIB Western Road in the mid eighties and he was so helpful and efficient and such a courteous Banker. He shared many stories of his golf experiences in Douglas and he sold me the golf bug.
We then met across the bridge table when I had the ‘L’ plate up and again he shared all his wonderful knowledge of cards. He will be a big loss to DGC but I have no doubt heaven has a special place for him.
