Dear Patrick, Orla, Marie and all of John’s family I was very shocked and saddened to hear of John’s untimely death. We all grew up together in Dublin Street, I remember the fun and laughter we had growing up and later on in life as adults when I would often meet him out and about. John was always such a nice person inside and out, he always greeted me with a smile and it was always lovely to talk with him when we would stop to chat. John will be very sadly missed around town with his infectious smile and great sense of humour. A true gentleman, may he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of John s passing. We had great laughs with John in the Tavern bar in the Westenra in the late 80s/early 90s. He was a great character! Sometimes met him in recent years when he brought his mother to mass in St. Joseph"s. RIP John.
